Content Management Systems

It all begins with the use of professionally designed content management themes.  We at Blog Instead are strong believers in “not reinventing the wheel.”  Let’s face it, not everyone has an eye for design.  More than likely, neither does your brother in law who designed your current web site.  Knowing how to use HTML is not the same as understanding the fundamentals of design.  That’s why Blog Instead has scoured the Internet to find some of the most eye-popping, professional templates (or themes as they’re known in the blogosphere) available.  It’s these themes that allow us to do our magic in two days.

Now, we know what you’re thinking.  “If I use a template, somebody else will use it too and everyone will know I didn’t spend the money on a custom web site.”  First of all, it’s highly unlikely that your pizza shop’s theme in Kentucky will be discovered by a customer who also happened to see the same theme on a hardware store’s site in Iowa.  Secondly, each of the themes are customizable with different layouts, color schemes, etc.  That’s what we do for you–we customize the theme in a way that makes it unique to you.

Getting to Know  You

We begin by learning a little bit about your business.  Then, we’ll present a couple of recommendations for themes.  Once you decide upon a theme, we get to work.  We’ll find some terrific, professional stock photographs and integrate them into your new site.  While we’re doing that, you can be rounding up some of your own photographs to include as well.  Then if you choose the Premium Plan of the video upgrade, we’ll build an animated photo video, an innovative way for you to showcase your business.  That video can be used right on your web site and can be viewed by all visitors.  We’ll also give you a DVD that can be used in your place of business should you decide to present it on a kiosk or TV screen.

Two Day Magic

After two days, we’ll send you a link to view the prototype.  We’ll make some adjustments if necessary, but we’re confident you’ll absolutely love what you see.  And you’ll have the comfort of knowing you have a professional site that doesn’t scream “I’m too cheap to invest in a quality web site.”

Update it Yourself!

Finally, we’ll give you a PDF document that shows you how to update your site yourself without any programming skills.  This is perhaps the best part of this service.  Unless you need something really fancy, you’ll never need to call us again (although we’re here if you need us).  All you need is a browser.  By yourself, you can add a page, change any text or photograph, or just about anything you want within minutes.
